Untamed Tidal Terrain

‘Untamed Tidal Terrain’ is a collection for high end women’s fashion inspired by British coastal landscapes, taking visual inspiration from wildflowers, birds and coastal textures. Through my designs I aimed to highlight the importance of conserving environmental and coastal ecosystems, helping to compensate for habitat loss due to the changing climate. I have a keen interest in exploring how I can create responsibly as a textile designer. Sourcing natural fibres, as well as deadstock yarns is a way in which I have incorporated this into my work. I have used a combination of 100% wool and cotton yarns which are self-replenishing and biodegradable. I also used high quality fabrics such as deadstock cottons.
